Pacers Show Interest in Ex-Spur, now Buck Fabricio Oberto

According to Adrian Wojnarowski at Yahoosports:

Once Fabricio Oberto clears waivers in Detroit on July 7, there will be several teams courting the ex-Spurs forward, including Washington, Phoenix, Sacramento and Indiana, sources say. There’s still a strong possibility he could return to the Spurs, who traded him as part of the Richard Jefferson deal last month.

Wow this really makes no sense unless it is for crumbs and we are moving Foster. Although a solid back up center, Oberto is already 34 years old. I don't see how he fits with this young Indiana Pacers team unless we are just looking for a cheap, stop gap veteran presence behind Hibbert.

Can’t really defend this move at all, if it somehow happens.

I mean I like Oberto

But not that much. definitely not with the roster we have and definitely not at his age. I didn’t realize he was so old.

As for getting whiter, does it really count since he’s from Argentina?

oberto

We Dont need oberto. Hansbourgh is better than you think. Mix his work ethic with Bird’s Mentoring, i think he will become a solid,Birdlike player and will push granger to the 2 guard spot as he starts at the 3. here’s a trade for you .trade tinsley & dunlevy for t-mac. I trust a hurt t-mac more than dunlevy plus we must drop tinsley. t-mac if healthy is the slasher we need to take pressure off of granger. a provin scorer. Worstcase scenario we end exactly where we are last season with granger hauling the load alone.

when and where has hansbrough showed the ability to play on the wing?

and good enough to push our best player out of position and rush to the bench?

and bird is an executive, not a mentor.

mcgrady isn’t a slasher anymore. he shoots jump shots…and his shooting percentage the last 6 years is Iverson like…

42, 43, 41, 42, 43, 39

only thing mcgrady has proven is that he is shot… he isn’t coming back from that surgery.

Hanbourgh

When has hansbourgh not exceed expectation? When has Hasbourgh not been the hardest working man in any gym? NorthCarolina was an undersized team that beat all of these so called studs (blake griffith)teams witout ty lawson for some Games. If anyone could develope in this league as a rookie why wouldn’t it be the hardest working man in colledge. He will develope into a good/great shooter. By the way, Granger couldn’t shoot either his rookie year. So you see, hard work does pay off.
