I know a new Pacer for sure

In just a few hours the Pacers will say 'hello' to some new faces and probably say 'goodbye' to some old ones. However, I also want to introduce you to the "newest" Pacer you already know - Josh McRoberts!

From front office guys, sports guys, and teammates on the radio to beat writers in the Star, we are hearing it. Josh McRoberts has been in the gym everyday. By all accounts he has put on between 12 - 20 pounds of muscle. He is hyped and working hard already for next season.

We already saw what he is capable of doing defensively and energy-wise off the bench last year. Just wait until next season with a little more maturity under his belt. He is a young man on the rise. Welcome back, for the first time, Josh McRoberts, Indy's answer to the BirdMan!

Great news ..

No one knows his ceiling ….. he is an extreemly talented player lets hope he fufills it in Indiana ….

I'm pretty doubtful of his improvement

I hope it happens, but it seems unlikely at this point. I’ll be pulling for him.

Random story about him that still cracks me up. My senior year of high school (North Central) a few friends and I used to dress up as the Village People and go to all the football games to heckle. We went to one basketball game that year – at Carmel. McRoberts was a freshman that year and was still a bit goofy and getting used to his height I guess. Before the game we “scouted” the teams and decided to focus our efforts on the goofy looking freshman. So we consistently yelled at him and kept chanting “McRooooooooberts”. He played horribly and we had a good time. Years later I recognized the name when he was signing with Duke and have had a good laugh remembering that game a few times a year.
