Tinsley trade idea
I know it makes too much sense to really happen. However just for kicks, i'm curious what my fellow ICR friends think about this realistic scenerio.
Clippers Get:
Tinsley
Pacers Get:

Thinking behind the deal is this. Clippers are needing to clear room for Blake Griffin to play. It has been no secret that they are shopping Kaman. In the Eastern Conference Kaman is a top 5 Center, and an instant upgrade. DeAndre Jordan is a high upside "Boom or Bust" type of prospect.
Clippers are willing to do this because
1. They save money by getting an expiring, tradeable asset in Foster.
2. Get out from under Kaman's deal
3. Ease the front line glut that happens when Griffin is drafted tomorrow.
Yay or Nay?

I would do this in a second. Anything that removes Tinsley and nets us a young prospect is a plus in my book.

I could live with this deal
I don’t like the length of Kaman’s deal, but unloading Tinsley will require some pain.
I do like dealing with the Clippers because with their track record, by giving up on Kaman and Jordan both could end up being excellent bigs for many years to come.

I'm in the same boat as everyone else
I don’t love Kaman or Jordan but I think they can both be useful pieces and I’d do about anything to get Tinsley off our books. In reality, any trade involving Tinsley means we get someone who will play to replace someone who won’t. So how bad can it be?
And if anyone is dumb enough to take Tinsley at this point, it’s Mike Dunleavy Sr. Maybe we can get Jr. to convince his dad that Tinsley is in great shape.

Also
Another part of my thinking behind this deal, is that it solves two issues. By getting these two post guys. It would free us up to take the PG of the future in the draft today. Hopefully a Brandon Jennings would be available at 13?

I would love this
But Jeff’s resigned for 3 years, he’s not expiring. Good deal though!

Would do this in a heartbeat. Not sure the Clips would trade their starting and backup Center in the same deal without getting another big from us, however. Plus I bet that they would want more for Kaman. Good though though, I would love this if it actually went down.

Thinking was the Clippers are clearing room for Blake Griffin
C- Camby/Foster
PF-Randolph/Griffin
That is a pretty formidable front court that the Clippers are assembling.

yeah that would be decent
And with a back court of Baron Davis and Gordon, they’d be in good shape. That is of course if they could find a coach who isn’t a complete waste of space.
