IC Cold Links: Lakers Win While Pacers Prep For Draft
Here are a few items of interest while the Los Angeles Lakers celebrate their 15th NBA championship:
- Teague, others set to work out for Pacers on Monday
Pike alum Jeff Teague will work out for the Pacers today along with DeJuan Blair (Pitt), Goran Suton (Michigan State) and Ty Lawson (North Carolina). - Morway discusses Dunleavy and planning for the future
Hoopsworld refers to Dunleavy's potential return as a dilemma since Brandon Rush and Danny Granger are already set to start at the wings positions. I'd call it more a miracle than a dilemma if the Pacers are juggling minutes between the three next year. Plenty of burn to go around. Great comments from Morway, including planning for this draft with the future in mind as opposed to just next season. - Behind the Box Score, where we have a champion
Kelly Dwyer offers up his championship clinching Behind the Box Score at Ball Don't Lie. - The Big Run That Won It for the Lakers
At TrueHoop, Kevin Arnovitz breaks down the Lakers' second quarter run that put the Magic down for good last night. - Ridiculous Upside mock draft
RU's mock draft is moving along. Please pay attention since we'll be making the Pacers pick at 13. - Jim O'Brien Does More For Indy That Just Coach The Pacers
Anthony Schoettle has a nice piece on Jim O'Brien's commitment to charity work in Indianapolis. - Hit or miss: A look at the past 15 years of Pacers drafts
Examiner Sean Stevenson has a great look back at the past 15 drafts for the Pacers. - Shaq-to-Cavs talk heating up again
Paul Coro reports that the Cleveland Cavaliers don't want to stand pat this summer so they're looking to make a big move by bringing in Shaq.

Great info
I like the details Morway provides on Dunleavy’s surgery. Given the info that Dunleavy had in his blog, I didn’t believe that he would be out as long as JOB had initially thought. They still don’t have a return date on him, but I would bet quite a bit on him returning still this calendar year.
I also like the write-up of Pacers draft picks. Some picks have really been criticised heavily in the past, but if you take a minute and look who other teams have picked directly behind the Pacers (and not focus on the one lucky pick somewhere down the line that turned out to be great), you can justify also the apparently “bad” picks for the Blue and Gold.
