Jennings Interview

I hope this turns out to be true if we draft him,

“And, on the court, I learned a lot about the pick-and-roll game, how to fight through screens, how to defend the pick-and-roll as well as how to run it.”

in my eyes...

a million times better for a kid whose eyes are set on playing basketball for a living to go over there. I obviously didnt get to watch him or anything, and I hear he “struggled”, a little or whatever the case, but I think it is going to help him tremendously. I bet his experience over there, basketball-wise and turning into a man wise, will be much better for him down the road than being a one and done, everything given to you freshman.

First off, definitely agree with Flitzy about how going to Europe must have helped him mature and learn to deal with adversity (instead of being on a college campus where he’d be on sportscenter regularly, every guy would love him and every girl would want to sleep with him).

As for the other links, I saw the truehoop thing on the Pacers in 2000 and it hurt. It’s definitely easy to forget how close we actually were to winning a championship. Both then and in 1998 when we gave the Bulls a serious run for their money. I remember a while back Bill Simmons saying that he thought that series was the hardest series the Bulls ever had in their 6 championships.

I also saw the franchise rankings and was pleasantly surprised to see us that high. I was also surprised that Detroit wasn’t higher.

good stuff

"If you don't [draft me], I promise you I'll come back and kick your ass for the next 15 years."

IC, when you mean 'mature'

Do you mean, Old? Because Robert Vaden looks Old. I don’t remember him looking old when he was at IU…
