Rest In Peace, Wayman Tisdale
Former Pacer, Wayman Tisdale died today after a prolonged battle with cancer. This sad news is only buoyed by the knowledge that Tisdale had a zest for life and took full advantage of the 44 years he lived. I'll always admire the positive attitude Tisdale displayed regardless of what cancer threw at him. His spirit will always live on, keeping rhythm on a whole 'nother radar.

The good die young
But it was still far too early for Wayman. I’m not sure what words to say for a guy who had such a positive outlook. It’s a model I wish we could all live by.

God Speed
and God bless his family and freinds. Wayman was a great guy, even though he played for those Sooners (Go Mizzou). Our thought and prayers are with all.

A great guy
I loved him as a Pacer, I loved him as a jazz musician. My wife’s new to Indy, so she never got to watch him play. We did spend some great times together listening to him. I’ll always have my memories, we’ll always have his music.

as a resident of tulsa
these past 4 years i have learned more about tisdale. he was very important to the city here. a great player for booker t washington and the university of oklahoma. he had been really sick the past couple years and always had a smile. even when he lost his leg he was always optimistic. he is known for his basketball game and his music, but his positive attitude during such an adverse time is what makes him a hero. he will be missed and my prayers to his family.
