I’m really starting to get worried that we’re not going to make a deal at the deadline. In all the NBA Trade rumor articles on ESPN we are not mentioned once. This can’t be a good sign, can it?

It is starting to look like the Pacers would rather protect the bottom line and let the expiring contracts go this summer. Lots of uncertainty with the luxury tax threshold possibly going down and the collective bargaining agreement possibly up for grabs. Of course, many Pacers deals emerged from complete silence so you never know, but it just seems like the current situation has changed the mindset.

Agreed
I am getting the same feeling, in regards to letting these contracts expire.
I think the article last week about the Pacers losing money was the Media primer to prepare the fans.
Every trade deadline article I have seen, has mentioned the Pacers losing money, but being commited to staying in Indy.
The flipside however is this. If the Simons don’t care to put a winner on the floor. How can they except Joe fan to care enough to watch the team play?
