Granger Comes Up Short In All-Star Appetizer
Danny Granger put the Pacers in the All-Star spotlight even if his effort in the 3-point shootout came up short.
Granger was illiminated after only scoring 13 points in the first round. His final bonus ball could've advanced him but the shot was rushed and caught iron. Seems fitting that Granger's effort came down to the last shot at the buzzer. Fotunately this was just an appetizer for Danny's All-Star weekend.

Reggie said the same thing I did
I said “If the contest was sprinting down the court, catching the ball, stopping on a dime, and firing a three, Granger would win this going away.” Ten minutes later, as Danny was on his second rack, Reggie said the same thing.
Also, was the dunk contest boring to anyone else? Nate Robinson did a dunk I did in middle school (jumping off a teammate’s back, which forced my coach to make us run for 20 minutes straight) and then pushed off Howard’s shoulder and he wins. Wow. Howard dunking on a 12 ft rim would have been cooler if it didn’t look so easy. I think he could have done 13. I personally think that Rudy Fernandez got treated horribly. First, Reggie and Kenny Smith start making fun of his tribute to the first Spaniard to play in the NBA (who died tragically in a car crash) then (despite Pau’s repeatedly poor tosses) makes the off-the-back-glass-reverse slam, which was the best dunk of the contest, and gets in the low 40s. Rediculous.
i agree
with everything. My friends and i said the same, Rudy’s dunks were way better than Nate’s, he was robbed. And either way, Howards were better than Nates anyways. Living right next to New York, I hate Nate Robinson, and I am going to lose a bet I made saying he will be out of the league after his rookie contract. All in all, that was just a weak night last night, honestly EXCEPT for Rudy, both his dunks were great. and Jr smith let me down as well.

2008...
had a better dunk contest. Nate’s dunks were quite unimpressive to say the least. The best dunks of the night were Howard’s off the side of the backboard and Rudy’s from behind the backboard. I agree that Rudy should have gotten better scores. Overall LAME…meh.
Opportunity is missed by most people because it comes dressed in overalls and looks like work.

I feel like we all watched it in my living room
Kenny Smith was horrible all-night long … it seemed like he was rooting for retired hall of famers and dogging the people in the competition’s
I was especially offended by the way Rudy was treated by TNT.
Rudy had the best dunk and the best prop with Fernando Martin’s #10jersey.
What happened to the panel of former dunk contrst winners Dr J, Dominique etc?
No wonder the judging was wrong.

YEa it was an all Phoenix judge board...
Tom Chambers rates everyone low because they don’t dunk from the 3 point line like he did in Bulls vs Sonics for Genesis. Any one else in their 20s has to know what im talking about haha.
