Do Yall Like Muh Trade Idear?

Okay the idea of this trade is based on the idea that when Murphy has been gone, Roy has been a beast. So let's move Troy and work on our future.... So i like Danny at the four. Huge mismatch for most power forwards and can actually play defense (some people say Troy plays D... I've yet to see it).

Washington Wizards Receive:

PF/C Troy Murphy

SF Wilson Chandler

New York Knicks Receive:

G/F Brandon Rush

G Mike James

Indiana Pacers Recieve:

G Randy Foye

F Jared Jeffries

So, the money does work for all parties and I've just put the base idea down and filler ideas are very welcome. Now here are my reasons why the teams do this.

Washington: They are looking for talent and are sick of losing, they have been shopping Mike James' final-year contract for such a possibility. The Wizards are also a team that's maybe a season or two away from blowing their team up if they keep going on the present course they're on. Having Wilson Chandler (22 yrs. old) alongside Javale McGee (21) and Andray Blatche (23), would make a scary starting lineup from the 3-5 positions for the next decade.

New York: All of their noteworthy contracts end this offseason for the Lebron sweepstakes except for Jared Jeffries' and if they want to entice him or any other superstar with suitable teammates, they'll even make bad deals to get rid of the former IU star. If they make this trade they get an extra 6 mil. this offseason

Us: We need to start getting younger players. Foye is the main peice of this trade and is not fitting in with his new team seeing that he's getting barely any minutes despite gradually getting more dangerous day by day in Minnesota. Foye is 26, a second scoring threat beyond Danny and would allow Mr. Granger to play our 4. Plus Jeffries contract ends in the 2010-2011 Free Agency along with the a lot of our others. You know Larry would like these guys cause Jared Jeffries is starting to get the hang of the 3 pointer and  Randy hits about 38% of his 3's. Plus the Pacers would be dropping almost 4 mil. in contract doing this deal (use that money for a new coach). The only reason the deal works is the Wizards have a trade exception.

Okay, so get ready to scrutinize in 3.. 2.. 1...... Go!

The Wiz would be taking on a lot of salary in this deal. Plus, even if Troy plays up to last year’s numbers or even a little better, he’s still way over-priced in the current player market.

I agree

I agree with that but the Wizards seem desperate to win by shopping Mike James’ contract. Plus I think Wilson Chandler would be too much to pass up for them.

I like Blatche

I had thought about throwing blatche in here cause if you paired an athletic like Blatche in with Roy…. wow. But I didnt really see an opporutnity to get him. If you can find a viable way to put him on the the Pacers somehow go to the “trade machine” at ESPN.com ( http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine ) and post the link on here I would love to hear it.

I love Blatche as well as Foye...

I think it seems pretty reasonable, except Danny at the 4. I don’t know if he can handle getting banged around by opposing power forwards all game long, and have enough juice left on offense to be what we need him to be. And even when its not a stronger 4, he would have a hell of a time matchin up with the TALLER 4’s like the Bosh/Bargnani, Elton Brand, Kaman/Camby type lineups. But yea, I do think Foye is being severely under-used. Not that it means anything at all, but I had him in fantasy for a year or 2, and when he had opportunity he was a mad man night in and night out. I would love to see him here. And he’s from about 5 miles from my house too haha. I also love Blatche but I think the Wiz know what they have on their hands with him and dont wanna get rid, hes the future there.

elton brand and danny are theoretically both 6’9" but I dont want to see him get beat up either. personally id like to see him matched up with 2’s whenever possible.

True about Danny

That’s a good point about Danny. That would be tough for him to go against those type of forwards for 82 games. Hopefully if either Hansbrough stepped up eventually or even Jeff get the start and have Danny and Randy at the wings when there was such a matchup issue. I just don’t think it was a coinidence that Roy was playing possessed until he got Troy down there to help him hold down the paint. His foul troubles started again, we couldn’t play him much anymore, he got frustrated. But think i you need to get points. Put in T.J., Foye, Dahntay, Danny, and Roy. Or even have Foye, Dahntay, Dunleavy, Danny, and Roy…. that’s a good squad on both ends…

No trades

We just need to keep everybody until their contracts run out. Let these guys take our money, but at least we know they won’t give the team a bad image and they might pull out a few good wins when Danny gets back. The only person I would trade is Foster, just so he could play on a contender again.

The Point

But I think some of you guys are missing the point here. Foye, when invested in him can be a beast any night of the week. After the draft day trade of Brandon Roy for Randy Foye (I know they rhyme, its funny) the trade was considered to be one of the worst trades ever and for good reason. But, last year experts started to see the potential of Foye and started to say that maybe it wasn’t such a terrible deal. Also, considering Foye has always had the attention on him seeing that he’s never played with another good wing in his NBA career. Plus like I said there’s instantly 4 mil. off our books and if Tyler plays like he has more then this trade is definetly a no-brainer.
