Go Pacers!!!!!!

I gotta feeling…that tonights going to be a good nite

If Youre not First, Youre Last

by drsuessrunner07 on Nov 6, 2009 3:09 PM EST reply actions

Weird that the Fieldhouse is 10 today

Your kids grow up so fast…sniff. Seriously, though, I was checking out some of the pictures of the Fieldhouse and I hope that it looks that full again.

Pacers starting a win streak tonight :)

by Gwen on Nov 6, 2009 4:07 PM EST reply actions

Could really use a win tonight

But it won’t be easy.

A win here puts us in position to get back to .500 next June when we play a game again. It may be hard to get the kind of Boston win we got last year, but with New Jersey and New York after that…hey, the optimist in me says 5-4 is not impossible. Just need to win tonight.

Still no official word on Hansbrough yet, is there?

by Nathan S. on Nov 6, 2009 5:55 PM EST reply actions

Text message

Tells me Hansbrough will be going tonight.

Thank you, text message!

by Nathan S. on Nov 6, 2009 6:50 PM EST reply actions

I hope he plays as well as his commercials

I really like his puppy commercial – I’m sorta sensitive that way

by Gwen on Nov 6, 2009 6:59 PM EST up reply actions

If Hansbrough

Makes me say “WOW.” then he’s done his job for the night. I know where my dog is, so I don’t need him to find him for me tonight, haha.

by Nathan S. on Nov 6, 2009 7:01 PM EST up reply actions

Also, Murph and Diener

Will both be out according to Obie.

Murph not improving at all. Yikes.

by Nathan S. on Nov 6, 2009 6:52 PM EST reply actions

Diener

Didn’t catch his hairdo, but I don’t think we should be too worried about not having our #4 PG, unless things go horrifically wrong.

by Nathan S. on Nov 6, 2009 7:02 PM EST up reply actions

Hansbrough

Looks to be limited to sixteen minutes tonight.

by Nathan S. on Nov 6, 2009 7:15 PM EST reply actions

Roy's Automatic Hook

Getting us off on the right foot. Looks like the Wiz are going to be hitting shots.

by Nathan S. on Nov 6, 2009 7:21 PM EST reply actions

Great defense

Wiz turn it over without a shot. Superb.

by Nathan S. on Nov 6, 2009 7:23 PM EST reply actions

Ball movement

Driving the line, defense.

I must be dreaming!

by Nathan S. on Nov 6, 2009 7:23 PM EST reply actions

Nice hit T.J.

Pressure fueling the pace for Pacers. Just what I like to see.

by Tom Lewis on Nov 6, 2009 7:25 PM EST reply actions

Oh yeah

Danny’s over 10,000 minutes. Congrats, Danny. Wouldn’t mind him piling on a couple ten thousand more.

by Nathan S. on Nov 6, 2009 7:29 PM EST reply actions

Roy is active

Someone compared him to Tony Ugoh earlier this year…I think it was sarcastic though.

by Gwen on Nov 6, 2009 7:29 PM EST reply actions

Considering Ugoh

Is basically done as a local player, I’d hope it was sarcasm, haha.

by Nathan S. on Nov 6, 2009 7:30 PM EST up reply actions

Good to see Danny go to the line

Maybe attacking the rim will help take his mind off the shooting slump.

by Tom Lewis on Nov 6, 2009 7:29 PM EST reply actions

Missed a chance

To find Hansbrough widddeee open under the basket.

by Nathan S. on Nov 6, 2009 7:36 PM EST reply actions

Hansbrough

Showing that energy. 3 boards already.

by Nathan S. on Nov 6, 2009 7:41 PM EST reply actions

I worry about his rebounding

if he can board, things will go well for him.

by Tom Lewis on Nov 6, 2009 7:42 PM EST up reply actions

Ugly possession

On both ends. Move the ball!!

by Nathan S. on Nov 6, 2009 7:44 PM EST reply actions

Their passing is pretty bad

and I’m not sure it’s all because they have new members

by Gwen on Nov 6, 2009 7:45 PM EST up reply actions

I liked their ball movement early on

But when Danny comes in, is caught by two defenders, has to throw it out to Ford, who does whatever Ford does and the team commits their first turnover…gotta do better.

by Nathan S. on Nov 6, 2009 7:46 PM EST up reply actions

That's something I can't stand from Ford...

he drives, realizes he’s stuck and then passes to the opposing defender. Both he and Jack both did that. Frustrating.

by Gwen on Nov 6, 2009 7:49 PM EST up reply actions

End 1Q Pacers up 23-19

Need to keep that ball moving but can’t complain about defense.

by Tom Lewis on Nov 6, 2009 7:46 PM EST reply actions

Just got here

I see T Brough has 3 boards, has he been pretty active so far?

by jantz101 on Nov 6, 2009 7:48 PM EST reply actions

Yeah

I’ve been pretty impressed. Seeing as he hasn’t played in a couple of months, he’s trying to be everywhere at once and doing pretty well here.

by Nathan S. on Nov 6, 2009 7:49 PM EST up reply actions

I think

he will make a living at the FT line during his career. Good start for the boy!

by jantz101 on Nov 6, 2009 7:52 PM EST up reply actions

Tyler worn out

But he earned it. Hope this is a sign of things to come from him.

by Nathan S. on Nov 6, 2009 7:52 PM EST reply actions

What was that call?

Gil can’t keep his balance when he’s shooting the ball so it’s on D.Jones?

by Nathan S. on Nov 6, 2009 7:55 PM EST reply actions

Hey - so Austin is part of the Pacers tv crew now?

That’s cool – I know he’s probably wishing he was playing though.

by Gwen on Nov 6, 2009 7:55 PM EST reply actions

yep

doing some pre and post-game stuff

by Tom Lewis on Nov 6, 2009 7:56 PM EST up reply actions

Roy took his time and made a basket

Ugly shot, but he made it and Roy is happy :)

by Gwen on Nov 6, 2009 7:57 PM EST reply actions

Pacers

Off to another good night in FT differential. Keep it up.

by Nathan S. on Nov 6, 2009 7:57 PM EST reply actions

BEAUTIFUL BALL MOVEMENT!!

And you were rewarded, boys!!!

Fundamentals to the effin’ rescue!!

by Nathan S. on Nov 6, 2009 7:59 PM EST reply actions

45-32

Please finish this half off strong. Please!

by Tom Lewis on Nov 6, 2009 8:10 PM EST reply actions

Nah

We’ve got Reggie’s tears to help us get through tonight.

by Nathan S. on Nov 6, 2009 8:12 PM EST up reply actions

Pacers 13-19 FT

Could stand to be better at that.

by Nathan S. on Nov 6, 2009 8:16 PM EST reply actions

I swear

i knocked on wood when they were 8-9 and I complimented the FTs

by Tom Lewis on Nov 6, 2009 8:18 PM EST up reply actions

Must say

This defense is worth talking about.

by Nathan S. on Nov 6, 2009 8:17 PM EST reply actions

Agreed!

Now I’m gonna need Danny to hit a 3, or at least shoot one that hits the back iron

by jantz101 on Nov 6, 2009 8:18 PM EST up reply actions

Half Pacers up 53-41

Real good half. Lots of different players pitching in.

by Tom Lewis on Nov 6, 2009 8:17 PM EST reply actions

What’s the deal with our three point shooting this year? Would love to see that get closer to 35%.

by ThirtyOne on Nov 6, 2009 8:17 PM EST reply actions

Shooting overall not real good

The quantity of 3s Granger alone has missed doesn’t help.

by Tom Lewis on Nov 6, 2009 8:19 PM EST up reply actions

Yeah

That last miss right before the half couldn’t have been more open.

by ThirtyOne on Nov 6, 2009 8:20 PM EST up reply actions

Gotta think

that is gonna get better. Danny’s percentage disregarding the first game must be pretty low

by jantz101 on Nov 6, 2009 8:19 PM EST up reply actions

If Hibbert keeps this kind of production up JOB will have to stop saying that Roy’s not good enough to run the offense through.

by ThirtyOne on Nov 6, 2009 8:20 PM EST reply actions

Yeah

I’m looking forward to that. Get him some more touches. He has shown a good touch at the rim and can pass too.

by jantz101 on Nov 6, 2009 8:21 PM EST up reply actions

I’ll take a 12 pt, 8 reb, 3 blk half every time Mr. Hibbert.

by ThirtyOne on Nov 6, 2009 8:24 PM EST up reply actions

99-00 players

Looked to be limited to Rik Smits, Jeff Foster, and Austin Croshere. A smidge bit disappointing…

by Nathan S. on Nov 6, 2009 8:22 PM EST reply actions

Yeah, what does Chris Mullin have to do these days that he couldn’t be here.

by ThirtyOne on Nov 6, 2009 8:23 PM EST up reply actions

They should've tried to invite Antonio Davis

I know he wasn’t on the team, but I’m not sure anyone would’ve noticed.

by Nathan S. on Nov 6, 2009 8:25 PM EST up reply actions

Maybe the Pacers were saving cash and didn’t offer any plane tickets so the three locals showed up. I’m kidding, btw

by Tom Lewis on Nov 6, 2009 8:27 PM EST up reply actions

I believe it was last year

That he was let go.

He was told to not do his job anymore because he wasn’t doing his job very well at some point between the middle of last season and summer.

by Nathan S. on Nov 6, 2009 8:31 PM EST up reply actions

So just curious

How does everyone plan to spend their three weeks between tonight’s game and the Warriors game?

by Nathan S. on Nov 6, 2009 8:30 PM EST reply actions

I was going to read Bill Simmons’ new book. It’s just long enough to get me through.

by ThirtyOne on Nov 6, 2009 8:32 PM EST up reply actions

Jeez

Our next game is Wednesday?

by jantz101 on Nov 6, 2009 8:33 PM EST up reply actions

Ohhhh!!

I’ll three second violation you, ref!!

by Nathan S. on Nov 6, 2009 8:34 PM EST reply actions

Wizards...

Are doing really well on the offensive glass. I don’t know the numbers, but it seems they’re getting a lot of second chances…

by Nathan S. on Nov 6, 2009 8:34 PM EST reply actions

There were some

pinball series in the first half on their end

by jantz101 on Nov 6, 2009 8:35 PM EST up reply actions

Whoa

the whirling Dahntay. Nice.

by Tom Lewis on Nov 6, 2009 8:36 PM EST reply actions

New life

For Washington.

Let’s not make this a reverse Knicks game, guys.

by Nathan S. on Nov 6, 2009 8:37 PM EST reply actions

250+ players down

Only one player stands in front of Danny for the three point record.

Yeah, I don’t think he’ll get it…

by Nathan S. on Nov 6, 2009 8:39 PM EST reply actions

I hope he enjoys it

Because he’ll be there for a long, long, long, long time.

by Nathan S. on Nov 6, 2009 8:41 PM EST up reply actions

Yeah

His has a chance to secure 2nd place in the coming years!

by jantz101 on Nov 6, 2009 8:42 PM EST up reply actions

Just like that

Seven point game turns into 13. Demoralizing pair of threes.

by Nathan S. on Nov 6, 2009 8:40 PM EST reply actions

Earl

has been lethal from 3 this year

by jantz101 on Nov 6, 2009 8:41 PM EST up reply actions

Taking advantage of great looks

Remember when Troy Murphy did that? Such a long time ago…

by Nathan S. on Nov 6, 2009 8:43 PM EST up reply actions

Why...

Would Reggie Miller retiring be my favorite moment of anything? Hahaha.

by Nathan S. on Nov 6, 2009 8:42 PM EST reply actions

Bad foul

For Roy.

But it was a foul that was picked up from a beat defender.

by Nathan S. on Nov 6, 2009 8:45 PM EST reply actions

Take advantage AJ

should be interesting with both rooks on the floor

by Tom Lewis on Nov 6, 2009 8:46 PM EST reply actions

Ok - I like Tyler's puppy commercial

And I’m pleased with his 1st play of the season…

by Gwen on Nov 6, 2009 8:47 PM EST reply actions

Glad JOB decided to start playing Price.

by ThirtyOne on Nov 6, 2009 8:51 PM EST reply actions

What a move

By Tyler. Already forcing double teams, haha.

by Nathan S. on Nov 6, 2009 8:55 PM EST reply actions

Alright

lets close this quarter out now

by jantz101 on Nov 6, 2009 8:55 PM EST reply actions

Hansbrough

Going to be good for this team’s free throw economics.

by Nathan S. on Nov 6, 2009 8:56 PM EST reply actions

Terrible final possession.

I know it’s an anniversary night, T.J., but you don’t need to remind us of Travis Best.

by Nathan S. on Nov 6, 2009 8:58 PM EST reply actions

hahaha

Did I mention that I can’t stand the overdribbling Ford?

by Gwen on Nov 6, 2009 8:59 PM EST up reply actions

Heh

TJ wanted in on some of that good action.

End 3Q Pacers up 82-65

by Tom Lewis on Nov 6, 2009 8:59 PM EST reply actions

Worth mentioning again

Defense looks good! Rooks look good!

by jantz101 on Nov 6, 2009 9:00 PM EST reply actions

Just can't argue with the production

From the rooks. Hansbrough has really impressed me. I’m pretty close to just closing it out with a WOW, but we’ve still got about five more minutes.

by Nathan S. on Nov 6, 2009 9:01 PM EST up reply actions

That block should count

Because it was a really good block. Nevermind the play was whistled dead or anything…

by Nathan S. on Nov 6, 2009 9:03 PM EST reply actions

Hansbrough checking out.

May be done, but finishes up with 13 points and 5 boards. And a smile. In fourteen minutes? Yowzers.

by Nathan S. on Nov 6, 2009 9:04 PM EST reply actions

Seems like Denver didn’t get the Asian-trip-friendly schedule to start the season like the Pacers did.

by Tom Lewis on Nov 6, 2009 9:06 PM EST up reply actions

This team is going to be a headache this year I can tell

Especially the more they have games like these with good defense and a positive free throw.

by Nathan S. on Nov 6, 2009 9:08 PM EST reply actions

Kidding me

Favorite Conseco Fieldhouse memory was Reggie retiring!? It was soo the Finals appearance…

by Nathan S. on Nov 6, 2009 9:09 PM EST reply actions

Weird huh?

Still – the whole “For the past 18 years, I have been truly blessed, not only as a Pacers, but as a H-h-h-oosier” I got teary eyed.

by Gwen on Nov 6, 2009 9:15 PM EST up reply actions

Danny block and three

That’s the Danny Granger we all love!

by Nathan S. on Nov 6, 2009 9:13 PM EST reply actions

Guess Rush Done?

Not worth coming back in due to ankle?

I'm no commie, but the Reds shall be the best again!

by RedHopeful on Nov 6, 2009 9:15 PM EST reply actions

At half they announced he wouldn’t return

by Tom Lewis on Nov 6, 2009 9:15 PM EST up reply actions

Ahh

Thanks…missed that.

I'm no commie, but the Reds shall be the best again!

by RedHopeful on Nov 6, 2009 9:16 PM EST up reply actions

7 TO"S so far

Pacers had that in the 1st 5 mins against Atlanta

by jantz101 on Nov 6, 2009 9:21 PM EST reply actions

I didn't think we'd get to have this kind of game

After the Denver game. I thought we’d be doing an awful lot of scraping this year. But aside from the opener, there haven’t been any close games this year. I’m glad we can be on the winning side of a 20-point game.

by Nathan S. on Nov 6, 2009 9:25 PM EST reply actions

McBobs appearance

That’ll be my dagger tonight.

by Nathan S. on Nov 6, 2009 9:25 PM EST reply actions

Gilbert Arenas has only 13 pts :)

And Roy was called for an offensive foul

by Gwen on Nov 6, 2009 9:25 PM EST reply actions

I'm glad that Ford has a double-double

but can one of the doubles be an assist double? Please?

by Gwen on Nov 6, 2009 9:26 PM EST reply actions

Haha

Yeah, but Korver has that look on lock

by jantz101 on Nov 6, 2009 9:29 PM EST up reply actions

I don't know

If anyone here has read the book Can I Keep My Jersey? by Paul Shirley, but I’m reading it now, and I doubt I’ll ever be able to watch McBobs or any other 12th man the same way again in their mindset coming in in this situation.

by Nathan S. on Nov 6, 2009 9:29 PM EST reply actions

I'm always

on the lookout for a good book. I’ll check it out

by jantz101 on Nov 6, 2009 9:31 PM EST up reply actions

Oh man

I forgot about the Backpack Attack! Victory x2!

by Nathan S. on Nov 6, 2009 9:33 PM EST reply actions

Good news

They aren’t any good, but it’s a bit risky to start penciling in wins for this team, haha.

by Nathan S. on Nov 6, 2009 9:34 PM EST up reply actions

Defense

I hope when these guys write their mothers tonight, they talk about their defense.

by Nathan S. on Nov 6, 2009 9:35 PM EST reply actions

Fun game

Loved the D. Loved the team stepping up. We are starting to see a little cohesion. Now if Danny can start hitting his 3’s watch out!

by jantz101 on Nov 6, 2009 9:36 PM EST reply actions
