Weird that the Fieldhouse is 10 today
Your kids grow up so fast…sniff. Seriously, though, I was checking out some of the pictures of the Fieldhouse and I hope that it looks that full again.
Pacers starting a win streak tonight :)

Nick Young is starting, not Foye
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
by Mike Prada on Nov 6, 2009 5:04 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Could really use a win tonight
But it won’t be easy.
A win here puts us in position to get back to .500 next June when we play a game again. It may be hard to get the kind of Boston win we got last year, but with New Jersey and New York after that…hey, the optimist in me says 5-4 is not impossible. Just need to win tonight.
Still no official word on Hansbrough yet, is there?

Text message
Tells me Hansbrough will be going tonight.
Thank you, text message!
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 6:50 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
I hope he plays as well as his commercials
I really like his puppy commercial – I’m sorta sensitive that way
by Gwen on Nov 6, 2009 6:59 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
If Hansbrough
Makes me say “WOW.” then he’s done his job for the night. I know where my dog is, so I don’t need him to find him for me tonight, haha.

Also, Murph and Diener
Will both be out according to Obie.
Murph not improving at all. Yikes.
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 6:52 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
I'm not bummed about Diener - heard he had a faux-hawk
Why play a guy who has a faux-hawk?
by Gwen on Nov 6, 2009 6:58 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Diener
Didn’t catch his hairdo, but I don’t think we should be too worried about not having our #4 PG, unless things go horrifically wrong.

I'll be trying to catch a feed tonight so we'll see
/me crosses fingers

Hansbrough
Looks to be limited to sixteen minutes tonight.
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 7:15 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Roy's Automatic Hook
Getting us off on the right foot. Looks like the Wiz are going to be hitting shots.
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 7:21 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Great defense
Wiz turn it over without a shot. Superb.
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 7:23 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Roy blocked a shot and TJ scores on the other end
Nice!
by Gwen on Nov 6, 2009 7:23 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Ball movement
Driving the line, defense.
I must be dreaming!

Pacers take eight straight
8-0 Run, Pacers looking good.
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 7:25 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Nice hit T.J.
Pressure fueling the pace for Pacers. Just what I like to see.
by Tom Lewis on Nov 6, 2009 7:25 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Oh yeah
Danny’s over 10,000 minutes. Congrats, Danny. Wouldn’t mind him piling on a couple ten thousand more.
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 7:29 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Roy is active
Someone compared him to Tony Ugoh earlier this year…I think it was sarcastic though.
by Gwen on Nov 6, 2009 7:29 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Considering Ugoh
Is basically done as a local player, I’d hope it was sarcasm, haha.
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 7:30 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Good to see Danny go to the line
Maybe attacking the rim will help take his mind off the shooting slump.
by Tom Lewis on Nov 6, 2009 7:29 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Nice to have company tonight
Had teeth pulled, I’m starving.
by Gwen on Nov 6, 2009 7:30 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Yikes
I wish no dentist trips to anybody…frightening stuff.
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 7:32 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Danny 3-3 from the line
That’s great to see.
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 7:32 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
That was a charge if I'd ever seen one
Hansbrough in.
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 7:33 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Reversal of fortune
With turnovers.
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 7:36 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Missed a chance
To find Hansbrough widddeee open under the basket.
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 7:36 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
First Hansbrough casualty
Caron Butler’s nose.
by Tom Lewis on Nov 6, 2009 7:37 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Who were some of the members of the 99-00 team that came for the 10 year anniversary?
by Gwen on Nov 6, 2009 7:38 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
They had Smits
On the pregame show, and since Croshere is working for FSI, I imagine he was probably considered a part, but I’m not sure who else.
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 7:39 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Pacers making their FTs tonight
knock knock
by Tom Lewis on Nov 6, 2009 7:41 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Hansbrough
Showing that energy. 3 boards already.
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 7:41 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
I worry about his rebounding
if he can board, things will go well for him.
by Tom Lewis on Nov 6, 2009 7:42 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Uh oh
Did the trademark patent not go through?
by jantz101 on Nov 6, 2009 7:47 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
oh yeah - hahaha
I guess not. I’m not on my game tonight.
by Gwen on Nov 6, 2009 7:48 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Ugly possession
On both ends. Move the ball!!
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 7:44 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Their passing is pretty bad
and I’m not sure it’s all because they have new members
by Gwen on Nov 6, 2009 7:45 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
I liked their ball movement early on
But when Danny comes in, is caught by two defenders, has to throw it out to Ford, who does whatever Ford does and the team commits their first turnover…gotta do better.
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 7:46 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
That's something I can't stand from Ford...
he drives, realizes he’s stuck and then passes to the opposing defender. Both he and Jack both did that. Frustrating.
by Gwen on Nov 6, 2009 7:49 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
End 1Q Pacers up 23-19
Need to keep that ball moving but can’t complain about defense.
by Tom Lewis on Nov 6, 2009 7:46 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Just got here
I see T Brough has 3 boards, has he been pretty active so far?
by jantz101 on Nov 6, 2009 7:48 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Yeah
I’ve been pretty impressed. Seeing as he hasn’t played in a couple of months, he’s trying to be everywhere at once and doing pretty well here.
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 7:49 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Hansbrough
Gets his first bucket!
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 7:48 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
That was a dumb shot if I've ever seen one.
No sense in doing that.
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 7:50 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Hansbrough back to the line.
I like this hustle. A lot.
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 7:51 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Tyler worn out
But he earned it. Hope this is a sign of things to come from him.
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 7:52 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
I'm really pleased with Roy the last few games
plus – he’s pulling a Bobby Brown.
by Gwen on Nov 6, 2009 7:53 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
What was that call?
Gil can’t keep his balance when he’s shooting the ball so it’s on D.Jones?
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 7:55 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Hey - so Austin is part of the Pacers tv crew now?
That’s cool – I know he’s probably wishing he was playing though.
by Gwen on Nov 6, 2009 7:55 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Roy having a blast
Love to see it.
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 7:56 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Roy took his time and made a basket
Ugly shot, but he made it and Roy is happy :)
by Gwen on Nov 6, 2009 7:57 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Roy is sending a good game back to his home so far
A hungry hibby is a happy hibby.
by Tom Lewis on Nov 6, 2009 7:57 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Pacers
Off to another good night in FT differential. Keep it up.
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 7:57 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Danny
Looks like he got popped pretty good. Eye?
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 7:58 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
BEAUTIFUL BALL MOVEMENT!!
And you were rewarded, boys!!!
Fundamentals to the effin’ rescue!!

Oooh - nice feed by Ford to Jones?
My screen is small

Danny
Getting a nice shot tonight.
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 8:07 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Until he airballed that three.
Or passed it to D.Jones.
…I’ll say he passed it.
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 8:08 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Gonna be tough
if he is guarding Butler
by jantz101 on Nov 6, 2009 8:09 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Brandon has an ankle sprain
Questionable to return.
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 8:09 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
45-32
Please finish this half off strong. Please!
by Tom Lewis on Nov 6, 2009 8:10 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Nah
We’ve got Reggie’s tears to help us get through tonight.
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 8:12 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Finally drilled a three
Rare these days.
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 8:14 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Pacers 13-19 FT
Could stand to be better at that.
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 8:16 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Must say
This defense is worth talking about.
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 8:17 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Half Pacers up 53-41
Real good half. Lots of different players pitching in.
by Tom Lewis on Nov 6, 2009 8:17 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
What’s the deal with our three point shooting this year? Would love to see that get closer to 35%.
by ThirtyOne on Nov 6, 2009 8:17 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Shooting overall not real good
The quantity of 3s Granger alone has missed doesn’t help.
by Tom Lewis on Nov 6, 2009 8:19 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Gotta think
that is gonna get better. Danny’s percentage disregarding the first game must be pretty low
by jantz101 on Nov 6, 2009 8:19 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
If Hibbert keeps this kind of production up JOB will have to stop saying that Roy’s not good enough to run the offense through.
by ThirtyOne on Nov 6, 2009 8:20 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Yeah
I’m looking forward to that. Get him some more touches. He has shown a good touch at the rim and can pass too.
by jantz101 on Nov 6, 2009 8:21 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
I’ll take a 12 pt, 8 reb, 3 blk half every time Mr. Hibbert.
by ThirtyOne on Nov 6, 2009 8:24 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
99-00 players
Looked to be limited to Rik Smits, Jeff Foster, and Austin Croshere. A smidge bit disappointing…
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 8:22 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Yeah, what does Chris Mullin have to do these days that he couldn’t be here.
by ThirtyOne on Nov 6, 2009 8:23 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
They should've tried to invite Antonio Davis
I know he wasn’t on the team, but I’m not sure anyone would’ve noticed.
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 8:25 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Maybe the Pacers were saving cash and didn’t offer any plane tickets so the three locals showed up. I’m kidding, btw
by Tom Lewis on Nov 6, 2009 8:27 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Is Mullin still running the warriors or is that old news?
Am I outta the loop?
by Gwen on Nov 6, 2009 8:29 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
I believe it was last year
That he was let go.
He was told to not do his job anymore because he wasn’t doing his job very well at some point between the middle of last season and summer.
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 8:31 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
So just curious
How does everyone plan to spend their three weeks between tonight’s game and the Warriors game?
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 8:30 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
I was going to read Bill Simmons’ new book. It’s just long enough to get me through.
by ThirtyOne on Nov 6, 2009 8:32 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Ohhhh!!
I’ll three second violation you, ref!!
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 8:34 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Wizards...
Are doing really well on the offensive glass. I don’t know the numbers, but it seems they’re getting a lot of second chances…
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 8:34 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
There were some
pinball series in the first half on their end
by jantz101 on Nov 6, 2009 8:35 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
New life
For Washington.
Let’s not make this a reverse Knicks game, guys.
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 8:37 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Just when I'm about to call for him to quit shooting
boom baby
by Tom Lewis on Nov 6, 2009 8:40 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
250+ players down
Only one player stands in front of Danny for the three point record.
Yeah, I don’t think he’ll get it…
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 8:39 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
I hope he enjoys it
Because he’ll be there for a long, long, long, long time.
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 8:41 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Just like that
Seven point game turns into 13. Demoralizing pair of threes.
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 8:40 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Earl
has been lethal from 3 this year
by jantz101 on Nov 6, 2009 8:41 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Taking advantage of great looks
Remember when Troy Murphy did that? Such a long time ago…
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 8:43 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Why...
Would Reggie Miller retiring be my favorite moment of anything? Hahaha.
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 8:42 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Bad foul
For Roy.
But it was a foul that was picked up from a beat defender.
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 8:45 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
At the #2 no less.
I guess there aren’t any options though…
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 8:46 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Price is in
For meaningful minutes.
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 8:46 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Take advantage AJ
should be interesting with both rooks on the floor
by Tom Lewis on Nov 6, 2009 8:46 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Ok - I like Tyler's puppy commercial
And I’m pleased with his 1st play of the season…
by Gwen on Nov 6, 2009 8:47 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
8 minutes, 8 points, 3 rebounds
Not a bad line for game #1.
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 8:47 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
You're telling me
Getting quite a bit from our rooks.
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 8:51 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Glad JOB decided to start playing Price.
by ThirtyOne on Nov 6, 2009 8:51 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
What a move
By Tyler. Already forcing double teams, haha.
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 8:55 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
The double-pump head fake

Hansbrough
Going to be good for this team’s free throw economics.
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 8:56 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Terrible final possession.
I know it’s an anniversary night, T.J., but you don’t need to remind us of Travis Best.
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 8:58 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Worth mentioning again
Defense looks good! Rooks look good!
by jantz101 on Nov 6, 2009 9:00 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Just can't argue with the production
From the rooks. Hansbrough has really impressed me. I’m pretty close to just closing it out with a WOW, but we’ve still got about five more minutes.
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 9:01 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Arrgh - does anyone have an alternate feed?
I’ve been using adthe.net
by Gwen on Nov 6, 2009 9:02 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
That block should count
Because it was a really good block. Nevermind the play was whistled dead or anything…
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 9:03 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Hansbrough checking out.
May be done, but finishes up with 13 points and 5 boards. And a smile. In fourteen minutes? Yowzers.
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 9:04 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
He does get a WOW.
He exceeded my expectations pretty easily.

Seems like Denver didn’t get the Asian-trip-friendly schedule to start the season like the Pacers did.
by Tom Lewis on Nov 6, 2009 9:06 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
This team is going to be a headache this year I can tell
Especially the more they have games like these with good defense and a positive free throw.
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 9:08 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Kidding me
Favorite Conseco Fieldhouse memory was Reggie retiring!? It was soo the Finals appearance…

Weird huh?
Still – the whole “For the past 18 years, I have been truly blessed, not only as a Pacers, but as a H-h-h-oosier” I got teary eyed.

I didn't think we'd get to have this kind of game
After the Denver game. I thought we’d be doing an awful lot of scraping this year. But aside from the opener, there haven’t been any close games this year. I’m glad we can be on the winning side of a 20-point game.

McBobs appearance
That’ll be my dagger tonight.

Gilbert Arenas has only 13 pts :)
And Roy was called for an offensive foul

I don't know
If anyone here has read the book Can I Keep My Jersey? by Paul Shirley, but I’m reading it now, and I doubt I’ll ever be able to watch McBobs or any other 12th man the same way again in their mindset coming in in this situation.
by goodlucksaturday on Nov 6, 2009 9:29 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
I've read a few of Shirley's columns on ESPN
he’s witty and smart
