IC Cold Links: Pacers Set To Open Season In Atlanta

The Indiana Pacers open the season against the Atlanta Hawks tonight. So far, we have to assume Danny Granger's doubtful status will keep him on the bench and make an already tough task to be the Hawks even more daunting.

Murphy
The Murph interview is quality material. Love the last line. Diener and him will keep things light in the locker room this year. Looking forward to tonight!

Granger now a game time decision
Heard Wells on with Dakich and he said Granger had his foot taped up and practice gear on for the shootaround. After the workout, Wells tweeted that Danny practiced at the shootaround and is now a game time decision.

Granger
Anyone that’s had a bruised heel knows it can be painful and knows that it can linger. I’d hope Granger would sit out to rest it, while keeping the entire season in mind, but when it’s the first game of the year that can be hard to tell a player.
I’m beginning to think the definition of Pacers goes something like this: “The event of one player coming back from injury (Granger), and in turn, another player goes out with an injury (D. Jones).” Will the injuries and bad luck ever end?
