UPDATE: Bruno'sInside the Game LIVE blog is up. Also, just heard JOB mention that T.J. Ford will try to give it a go tonight off the bench. How his back reacts will determine how much he plays.
The Indiana Pacers continue their desperate search for W's on the road out west when they visit the Bay Area to take on the Golden State Warriors. Both teams score points in bunches and with all the high-scoring games the Pacers have played in on this trip, this one could top them all. So it makes sens to once again, beg for a little dedication at the defensive end to make a difference tonight.
The Pacers should be fully engaged since the presence of former Dubs, Troy Murphy and Mike Dunleavy should have the ROracle crowd energized. I'm assuming Dun is still on a minutes "pitch count" and will come off the bench. I love having him off the bench to fortify the second unit, yet still be available for crunch time.
Here are the Pacers.com matchups. I'm assuming Marquis Daniels is a game-time decision and T.J. Ford won't be available, again.
For a Golden State perspective, check out Golden State of Mind.
Gameday Reading
- Mike Wells looks into the trend of the opposition's top scorer going off against the Pacers. My thoughts on the topic remain the same a few weeks later although I was focusing on role players lighting up the Pacers. Either way it boils down to a defensive effort from the Pacers that makes the opponent a little more uncomfortable.

What's the over/under on total points? 150?
Although it hasn’t started yet, this seems like a first to 130 kind of game…
starting a bit slow ...
for the teams involved and Golden State is missing a couple key guys. Might not be the barn burner folks would expect.
32 - 23 Pacers lead after 1
And only two turnovers! Good start so far.
Pretty good shape up 61-55 at half
TJ has been big off the bench. Doesn’t appear to be favoring the back either. Keep taking care of the ball and knocking down a few more shots and the W should be there for the taking. Of course, I’m sure we’ll be stressing on the final possession of the game.
Pacers ice cold
Lead down to one. Plenty of good shots, just not falling. Not going to keep GS from scoring all night, gotta start making some shots.
hey still only six turnovers
which is a definite improvement for the pacers. Just need to hit some shots and grow that lead.
3-point defense
is definitely struggling for the pacers.
Belinelli down with an ankle
Diener strokes another 3-ball with the man advantage.
Pacers up 1. No doubt this is going to be a wild finish.
one step forward, two steps back
or at least that is what it seems like for the Pacers this half.
some points from dunleavey
sure will help the cause. and maybe shut up the boo-birds in Golden State.
my thoughts exactly.
Dun is a good shooter, but they looked quite rushed and sloppy.
Mercy
This is really making me upset. Do the Pacers not have any favors from the basketball gods or something? Come on.
Not again...
Even watching the scores update on espn.com is rough.
indeed.
gotta find a way to get the wins in the fourth quarter. Maybe the luck comes back in a late season playoff run? Dare I look that far ahead or think that?
Ugh...
I love this team so much, but they keep tearing my heart out. I’m going to watch some It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia until I feel better.
