A select group of Pacers' season ticket holders were invited to a barbecue at Larry Bird's summer expanse this past weekend and from all accounts it was a great day. In fact, Statbuster from Basketbawful was on hand and try as he might, he couldn't find anything awful about the event.

Seems like the Pacers are starting to catch some breaks. First, they draft the guy they want (Brandon Rush) and add a backup PG in the process. Now they schedule an outdoor barbecue for fans and are rewarded with the best August weather in Indiana since ... well, ever.

Still some work to be done this offseason, so let's hope things keep falling into place.
