Not the best of news...
I know its early and summer league eveything like that...but there's no way that it is exciting to read THIS when checking up on the summer leagues this morning.

Studs: Jerryd Bayless has been the best player to put on a Summer League jersey. He finished with 29 points and 6 rebounds while shooting 8-15 from the field and 13-16 from the line. Bayless is such a skilled offensive player – he’s so versatile, that it’s hard to figure out a way to stop him. His ability to get to the rim will take him far in the NBA.
Studs: Jerryd Bayless is absolutely fantastic out here – he’s making people really wonder how he slid down the draft. With 9 seconds left in regulation, Bayless made an incredibly tough jumper to tie the game on the left side of the basket. Sounds tough enough considering the time circumstances, but what was most impressive was that Bayless was clearly fouled on the play and should have gone to the line as well. Bayless did unfortunately miss the shot with one second left that would have given the Blazers the win
I know Larry's intentions the whole time were to get Rush and they traded back because of saving money and all of that. But this guy had a Pacer hat on during draft night, might be tough to swallow come very soon.

Nightmares
This was my fear all along that Bayless would turn into this type of player. I am well aware that Rush was the man that Bird wanted but if Bayless puts up numbers similar to this in regular season and starts treating every team that passed on him the way Paul Pierce once did the teams that passed him up then Bird will have some splaining to do. This was the risk from the jump that Bayless would be a star in this league and Rush would only amount to a solid contributer, in which case the Pacers missed out big. Still too early to tell but like captain said Bayless is off to a great start.

You don't have to worry yet, it's just summer league
But one thing that everyone over Blazer’s Edge is impressed about his is wroth ethic and confidence. He is a fearless player than works maniacally to get better, I think we have our point guard of the future sewed up. He’s really really quick, and paired with his really great athleticism, he should make an impact next year. I mean there hasn’t been a single player that has been able to stay in front of him in SL. I was also really impressed at how high he gets up on his dunks, like his head looks like it is rim level, it’s crazy for a 6’3” PG(closer to 6’2” in real life I think) to be doing that. Will he be dumping 30 on someone next year? Maybe, but I doubt it, we have a lot of scoring options at this point, Roy, Outlaw, LaMarcus, Rudy are all very good offensive players and you know Oden will be getting touches as well. Most people in Portland aren’t expecting him to start right away and I think Nate McMillan has gone on record to say that Steve Blake will be our starter.
A Time For Heroes,

And it's all
It's all in my hands
And its all up the walls
Well the stale chips were up and the hopes stakes were down
Until Kp came into Town!

Ok
Well That last SL game he was unreal in the second half. I really want to see how well he plays in the NBA though.

If Bayless scores 30ppg this season
then the Pacers will be at the end of a long line of teams kicking themselves.

I would include the Sonics scratch that the Thunder
had the Sonics stayed in Seattle. (I still think taking Westbrook was a dumb move for them.)
