Could Dunleavy Be On the Move?
Mike Dunleavy may be one of our most enticing assets on the trade market. He is coming off a career season, but previously had a career filled with inconsistancy, lack of confidence, and having the heavy weight on his shoulder of being the 3rd overall pick in the 2002 NBA draft.
He set that aside this year and sent his career in a new direction.
Mike set career highs in points per game(19.1), assists per game(3.5), 3pt. FG%(42.4%), and FT%(83.4%). Mike also played in and started every game this season for the Pacers. Mike's productivity will likely never be higher while he is on the Pacers due to Danny Granger stepping into a bigger role.
If Larry does have trade conversations with other teams involving Mike, as this article suggests, there infact would not be a better time in my mind to do so.

Coulnd't agree more!
Yeah we went from having the heavy weight of being the number 3 pick to having no expectations with the Pacers…..... um all I hear about now is talks of Granger and Dunleavy being our 1 to punch….. I am pretty sure the lofty expectations are back on Mike D, so who knows what the heck he is going to do with those on his should…. some people speak of those two like theyre our own version of Jordan and Pippen….. not!

At this point nothing will surprise me
Well, I guess Granger moving would be a shock, but only because anyone worth dealing Danny for wouldn’t come close to matching Danny’s salary.

The Psychology of Bird:
the whole Shawne Williams is on “thin ice” clearly in my mind proves that Larry Bird stills has confidence in Williams. He only said that to motivate Williams in hopes of making him a better player on and off the court…. I feel that Larry has always loved the guy and there really is reason to love Shawne!

The Legend doth protest to much, methinks
Notice how he went directly at Mike Wells in the presser the other day too. Trying to distract everyone off the scent of the trail with regard to the trade rumors. Is this fun or what?

You think somebody would be interested in Murphy and Dunleavy in a deal now that Dunleavy has a higher stock?

This basically sums up the part about Dunleavy-----
“Contrary to reports, front-office sources say the Pacers have been shopping forward Mike Dunleavy - who is owed $29.3 million over the next three seasons - while showing some reluctance to part with center Jeff Foster, who is considered a favorite of coach Jim O’Brien.”

makes sense since Bird has been labeling him as untouchable along with Granger…. but at the same time wants to load up on youth…. but youth who can play now…. its so contradicting that clearly Bird wants Granger and a lot of young players….. and building up Dunleavy in hopes he can help us dump some trash and get some goods woo woo

is that even a possibility???
We would have to throw in Shawne Williams and take one of their worst contracts

I think so
And BTW, if you use the reply button below someone else’s post, it clears up the confusion as to who you are replying to.

Brandan Wright (or Randolph) and Al Harrington (under performing and expendable, 3rds please)
