Memphis Grizzlies
10-189-19
December 26, 2008 - 8:00PM EST
FedEx Forum
Radio: 1070AM WFNI   TV: No local TV
Probable starters:
T.J. Ford PG Kyle Lowry
Brandon Rush SG O.J. Mayo
Danny Granger SF Rudy Gay
Jeff Foster PF Darrell Arthur
Roy Hibbert C Darko Milicic

The Indiana Pacers continue their quest for W's when they hit the road to take on the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday night. The Griz have lost four straight on the heels of winning four in a row so they'll be hyped to get their game moving back in a positive direction.

Here are the Pacers.com matchups. T.J. Ford is listed as the starter at point guard but I imagine his back spasms will make him a game-time decision. Same goes for Marquis Daniels with his recovery from the viral infection. With the explosive scoring abilities of O.J. Mayo and Rudy Gay it would sure be nice to have Quisy available off the bench for some defensive support, if nothing else.

For a Memphhis perspective, check out 3 Shades of Blue.

Guard OJ Mayo

We need a hand in OJ’s face all night.

Looking to see alot more or TJ and Jack in the lineup at the same time for this one.

Looking for McBob to be a factor again tonight.

Happy New Year … Looking forward to some Pacer action tonight.

And Troy?

I assume he is as questionable as Daniels for tonight’s game?

I'm no commie, but the Reds shall be the best again!

Troy didn't practice Wednesday

But you’re right, I assume he’ll be a game-timer.

Big Roy off to a good start

IND up 21-13 early.

Hibbert has 9, Danny 7

The pace is smokin’. Boyle is on fire keeping up with the buckets.

Timeout Griz

Pacers up 24-13.

Everyone in on the action. Still 5:23 left.

by Tom Lewis on Dec 26, 2008 8:23 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Ha ha

Boyle just said Troy refuted the story that he lost 20lbs. He only lost 7.

Let's go bench

Second unit took over a 15 point lead. Diener, Foster, Rush now running.

No T.J. so far

I missed the start so I’m assuming the back spasms are keeping him out. No idea if there was an update on the severity.

Danny 1-4 on FTs

Gotta get that stroke going from the line again. 1-6 after making 45 in a row.

Slopfest over past couple of minutes

Timeout with 8:45 left in half, Pacers up 44-30.

Boom baby for Danny

Quis 2-2 from 3-land

Nice for a change, but let’s not get too comfortable out there Quisy.

Pacers up 64-49 with 2:00 left in half.

At Half, Pacers up 68-59

Danny took it strong to the hoop to finish half and drew a goal tend. Wild half.

Danny ends half with 20 points. Both teams only have 5 turnovers each which seems low considering the pace appeared to be on the edge of choas several times.

Brutal start to 3Q

Darko Milicic has been freed and is making an impact.

71-66 Darko missed two FTs, whew.

Darko headed to locker room

Hurt is wrist on last dunk attempt.

by Tom Lewis on Dec 26, 2008 9:35 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Nice work Foster

Jeff saves a possession off a Rush miss that leads to a Granger 3-ball.

More free throws for Memphis. 76-68

by Tom Lewis on Dec 26, 2008 9:39 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

4 3Q turnovers already

Lead down to 3.

Defense can’t stop Griz, only Griz can stop Griz.

Ack.

by Tom Lewis on Dec 26, 2008 9:41 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Diener in for Jack

Turnover Granger, another layup for Griz.

by Tom Lewis on Dec 26, 2008 9:44 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Nice response

Pacers cobble together a 6-0 run.

by Tom Lewis on Dec 26, 2008 9:48 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Here come the Grizz

back with a run of their own.

Game tied at 82.

by Tom Lewis on Dec 26, 2008 9:52 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Diener 3-balls off the mark

He’s missed three in a row and the ball goes the other way each time.

Conly makes two FTs Grizz up 2.

by Tom Lewis on Dec 26, 2008 9:54 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Pacers up 87-86 end 3Q

B-Rush made a pair of FTs to close the half. Not sure how the Pacers are leading this one. Time for a strong finish!

by Tom Lewis on Dec 26, 2008 9:59 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Uh oh, Granger is down

Elbow to the head after his shot was blocked. No foul, natch.

by Tom Lewis on Dec 26, 2008 10:03 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Quisy stepping up?

Two straight buckets.

Pacers up 2

by Tom Lewis on Dec 26, 2008 10:11 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

It's on Quisy!

Keep it going. GET A STOP, PLEASE!

by Tom Lewis on Dec 26, 2008 10:16 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Jack just started the break for Memphis

Huh? Memphis keeps clanking from the line. They should be up 10.

by Tom Lewis on Dec 26, 2008 10:18 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Another Warrick dunk

This is getting comical.

Grizz up 3.

by Tom Lewis on Dec 26, 2008 10:23 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Griz up 106-101

Memphis making plays. Pacers one and done on offense, can’t stop Griz on D.

Quisy needs some help!

by Tom Lewis on Dec 26, 2008 10:24 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

No!!!!!!!

Pacers can’t get a shot up in final 55 seconds. Loose ball on Memphis end about runs the clock out. 1.1 seconds left need a miracle.

by Tom Lewis on Dec 26, 2008 10:30 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Jack turned it over with 35 seconds left.

Grizz up 3, Pacers advance ball after timeout. Need a hero!!!!!

by Tom Lewis on Dec 26, 2008 10:32 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Jack needs to go

He’s blown at least 4 games for us, it would have been about 6-7 if the rest of the team wouldn’t have made up for his mistakes down the stretch. Least clutch player I’ve ever seen.
