The Indiana Pacers continue their quest for W's when they hit the road to take on the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday night. The Griz have lost four straight on the heels of winning four in a row so they'll be hyped to get their game moving back in a positive direction.
Here are the Pacers.com matchups. T.J. Ford is listed as the starter at point guard but I imagine his back spasms will make him a game-time decision. Same goes for Marquis Daniels with his recovery from the viral infection. With the explosive scoring abilities of O.J. Mayo and Rudy Gay it would sure be nice to have Quisy available off the bench for some defensive support, if nothing else.
For a Memphhis perspective, check out 3 Shades of Blue.
Gameday Reading
- Jeff Rabjohns catches up with Mike Conley as he continues dealing with his early jump to the NBA.
- Ronald Tillery finds O.J. Mayo looking to bust out of a minor slump against the Pacers tonight.
- Cliff Brunt takes a look at the NBA's balance of power and finds the Eastern Conference faring pretty well this year.

Guard OJ Mayo
We need a hand in OJ’s face all night.
Looking to see alot more or TJ and Jack in the lineup at the same time for this one.
Looking for McBob to be a factor again tonight.
Happy New Year … Looking forward to some Pacer action tonight.
And Troy?
I assume he is as questionable as Daniels for tonight’s game?
I'm no commie, but the Reds shall be the best again!
Big Roy off to a good start
IND up 21-13 early.
Hibbert has 9, Danny 7
The pace is smokin’. Boyle is on fire keeping up with the buckets.
No T.J. so far
I missed the start so I’m assuming the back spasms are keeping him out. No idea if there was an update on the severity.
league pass broadband is showing the game, with memphis radio as the audio.

Quis 2-2 from 3-land
Nice for a change, but let’s not get too comfortable out there Quisy.
Pacers up 64-49 with 2:00 left in half.
At Half, Pacers up 68-59
Danny took it strong to the hoop to finish half and drew a goal tend. Wild half.
Danny ends half with 20 points. Both teams only have 5 turnovers each which seems low considering the pace appeared to be on the edge of choas several times.
Brutal start to 3Q
Darko Milicic has been freed and is making an impact.
71-66 Darko missed two FTs, whew.
Nice work Foster
Jeff saves a possession off a Rush miss that leads to a Granger 3-ball.
More free throws for Memphis. 76-68
Diener 3-balls off the mark
He’s missed three in a row and the ball goes the other way each time.
Conly makes two FTs Grizz up 2.
Pacers up 87-86 end 3Q
B-Rush made a pair of FTs to close the half. Not sure how the Pacers are leading this one. Time for a strong finish!
Jack just started the break for Memphis
Huh? Memphis keeps clanking from the line. They should be up 10.
Griz up 106-101
Memphis making plays. Pacers one and done on offense, can’t stop Griz on D.
Quisy needs some help!
No!!!!!!!
Pacers can’t get a shot up in final 55 seconds. Loose ball on Memphis end about runs the clock out. 1.1 seconds left need a miracle.
Jack needs to go
He’s blown at least 4 games for us, it would have been about 6-7 if the rest of the team wouldn’t have made up for his mistakes down the stretch. Least clutch player I’ve ever seen.
