14-16-10
December 2, 2008 - 7:00PM EST
Conseco Fieldhouse
Radio: 1070AM WFNI   TV: Fox Sports Indiana
Probable starters:
Derek Fisher PG T.J. Ford
Kobe Bryant SG Marquis Daniels
Vladimir Radmanovic SF Danny Granger
Pau Gasol PF Troy Murphy
Andrew Bynum C Rasho Nesterovic

UPDATE: Bruno's is LIVE! blogging from the Fieldhouse. He's proclaiming the Pacers are embarking on the toughest 4 game stretch in NBA history based on the winning percentage of the next four opponents (Lakers, Celtics, Cavs, Celtics). Also, Jeff Foster is not available tonight with a back problem, along with Dunleavy and Diener.

The Indiana Pacers come off a couple of days rest to take on the Los Angeles Lakers tonight at the Fieldhouse. The way the Lakers have been toying with the League so far this season, the Pacers will need every second of that rest.

Here are the Pacers.com matchups and video scouting report.

Kobe gets Lakers started

Takes 2 shots on first possession makes the second. Already getting calls, too. Quisy with first foul. 2-2

Rasho 2-2

Getting a little Rasho production would really help the offense.

Gotta take care of the ball.

Quisy getting no calls tonight

Especially with a Pacers lead. Let’s go Brandon!

2:53 left in 1Q

Pacers up 24-21. Chalk up another great start for the Pacers. As we know, great starts hold no value.

Are we running?

Are we pushing the pace?

by Man of Pace on Dec 2, 2008 7:30 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

the pace has been great

Jack in for Ford know, we’ll see how it holds up.

Kobe loses the ball

when going at Rush and Hibbert. Shamelessly pleads for a foul. Please.

Lakers up 30-28 end 1Q

Lakers make it look easy. After a solid quarter, Pacers still trail.

FTs: Lakers 9-10, Pacers 0-0

Expect Lakers to get all benefit of doubt calls.

Pacers up 38-36 8:32 left

These teams can put up points in a hurry. I like McRoberts scrap early, pestering the Lakers bigs.

Pacers watch Kobe spin baseline

and convert reverse (travel?).

Lakers up 61-57. Pacers have to keep up, the Lakers are not going to stop scoring.

Kobe just passed the ball

to himself off the backboard. Nice.

Lakers up 66-61 at half

Kobe with the hoop and the harm with 2.2 seconds left in the half to score his 22,000th point.

Granger hits a shot at the buzzer to keep Pacers hanging around.

Wow!

Crazy half. You know the Lakers are going to try to tighten up the defense. Pacers are going to have to get in the 120s to win. Gonna take a special effort to win this one, but so far it’s hard to complain.

FTs: Lakers 17-24, Pacers 4-4

by Tom Lewis on Dec 2, 2008 8:12 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Granger with a "quiet" 16

Couple late buckets helped kept the deficit from double digits at the half.

by Tom Lewis on Dec 2, 2008 8:24 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

WOW!

now only if we could beat the easy teams… 2-0 against teams from the finals last year
