Update: Via Nets Daily, Devin Harris is not playing tonight for the Nets.
The Indiana Pacers host the New Jersey Nets at the Fieldhouse tonight for the second half of back-to-back games for both teams. Former IU hoops manager, Lawrence Frank, who I've been told prefers to go by L, brings is Nets to the Fieldhouse in the midst of implementing the dribble-drive offense.
The Nets had it going Friday night when they beat the Detroit Pistons to ruin Allen Iverson's debut with the Pistons. Judging by the level of frustration the Pacers expressed after the loss to Cleveland, the Blue and Gold should be ready to go tonight.
A W tonight is also critical for the Pacers from a PR standpoint. Fans attending games have enjoyed the play of the Pacers thus far, but only 11,000 showed up against Phoenix. We know the W's are going to be hard to come by for the first 20 or so games, but the casual fan is simply looking for wins to excite them. Playing hard without two starters against great teams doesn't trump the loss for most fans not interested in the long-term big picture for the Pacers. A home game against the Nets is close to a must win when considering the team's efforts to attract fans back to the Fieldhouse.
Feel free to leave your thoughts on the game in the comments.

I'll Be At the Game
And I’m missing part of the Notre Dame game for it. That shows how much I love this team even after the debacle last year where it was a shameful performance off the court by the men.
Of course, it isn’t like I would turn down free club seats, though!

1st Quarter
Brandon looked really good in the 1st Quarter. One great penetration finish, another great penetration at the end that led to a dump-off to Roy for a foul. Hit a three.
And TJ’s dribble drives were even better. He got all the way to the cup for dump-offs twice and pushed it really effectively in transition.
I loved seeing guys being aggressive off the bounce. It’s so refreshing after last season.

Lots of long missed jump shots in that first half. Made it hard to watch, allowed NJ to stay close too.
Good start to the second half. Pacers on a 8-0 run. New Jersey have started the half in poor fashion. Lot of mistakes, turnovers.

29 point second half! I live in jersey and read about the nets everyday and there is no optimism about them around here whatsoever. With no harris especially, this was and should have been an easy win. This was the pacers first test against a team they are better than, and i think, whie some things could have been better, they pass with flying colors, after tat 10-0 run in the second half, they played well with the lead. good win

Second half was great
The Pacers ran the Nets into the ground. Simply took care of business.
