The Indiana Pacers hit the road Friday night for another challenging game against LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Here's Bruno's Scouting Report which focuses on one of my favorite topics, the 3-ball. Attempts from distance are down about 5 per game so far for the Pacers, although there are several factors to take into account. First and foremost, Mike Dunleavy hasn't played. Plus, T.J. Ford and Jarrett Jack aren't 3-point shooters compared to PGs Travis Diener and Jamaal Tinsley last year. I know, Tins isn't a 3-point shooter either, but he was always good for 2 or 3 wide open attempts when he played.

Jarrett Jack (bruised knee) joined Travis Diener and Rasho Nesterovic on the day-to-day list. That's what happens when you play hoops like a head-hunting strong safety. I expect to see Jack on the court tonight. I'm not expecting Rasho to play but it sure would be nice. As we know, Mike Dunleavy is still out.

For a Cavs perspective, check out Fear The Sword.

As always, feel free to drop your thoughts on the game in the comments.

6-0 run for the Cavs

18-14 Pacers with 3:31 left in 1Q

Hibbert in all of the action

But he’s struggling. Rookie growing pains aren’t good for a lead.

Jack to Rush

For the flush. Beautiful!

8-0 run for Cavs

Pacers up 29-28, timeout. Couple bad possessions and no stops. LeBron’s on the bench too.

Man, Knicks up 64-58 at half

D’Antoni ball is off and running.

Someone needs to stop the bleeding!

Starters back in but they can’t stop the Cavs now, either.

Whew

Danny abuses Wally for a steal and TJ pushes a long pass to Quisy for the easy layup. Wasn’t easy, didn’t look easy, but we’ll take it. Great catch by Quisy.

Pacers back up 36-35.

Nice O board by Foster in traffic

Keeping a possession alive. That’s what he does.

by Tom Lewis on Nov 7, 2008 8:22 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

TJ breaking ankles

I think he broke his own along with Boobie’s.

Ahhh

Hibbert with a sweet dish on a give and go with Foster. Too bad Foster missed the bunny.

Another nice feed by Hibbert

Dropped it to Rush for a left-handed flush. Sweet!

2Q grind

Can’t get anything going offensively.

Granger flush on LeBron!

Nice way to end the half!!! Pacers up 48-43.

by Tom Lewis on Nov 7, 2008 8:39 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Granger with 21 first half points

Good news – Pacers up 5 at half
Bad news – LeBron hasn’t been a factor and was just posterized.

Pacers up 55-48

Mo Williams just had one of the longest continuation buckets ever. Yeesh.

Quisy with the screaming follow

Follows his shot for a reverse deuce.

by Tom Lewis on Nov 7, 2008 9:02 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Foster giving something on the O end

Earlier he had a sweet tip in and one in traffice. Now he pops in the 12-footer in the flow.

AAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

LeBron with a sick double-pump, classic ’Nique dunk…and one. Whoa!

LeBron ignited a huge run for Cavs

Pacers don’t have an answer for Bron.

by Tom Lewis on Nov 7, 2008 9:13 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Nice half court set

Pacers gather themselves work the ball around and end up with an easy bucket for Hibbert and one.

by Tom Lewis on Nov 7, 2008 9:14 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Pacers up 74-71 end 3Q

Pacers passed the first gut check. LeBron has 12 more minutes, though. More to come…

Hibbert fouled out

Nice effort from Roy tonight, still learning.

Varejao is killing the Pacers. Tied at 84.

by Tom Lewis on Nov 7, 2008 9:32 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Need to run some offense

TJ and Danny trying to step up but running solo plays for themselves.

by Tom Lewis on Nov 7, 2008 9:37 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Cavs up 94-91 6:14 left

Feel it slipping the Cavs way. Bron will get calls while Pacers look for someone to step up.

by Tom Lewis on Nov 7, 2008 9:40 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Nice take by J Jack!

Cavs up 95-93. Need a run. Ugh. Mo Williams for 3, 98-93

by Tom Lewis on Nov 7, 2008 9:43 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Can't win turning the ball over

Cavs mop up the donations, lead 102-93
