American Airlines Arena
Radio: 1070AM WFNI   TV: Fox Sports Indiana
Probable starters:
T.J. Ford PG Mario Chalmers
Marquis Daniels SG Dwyane Wade
Danny Granger SF Shawn Marion
Troy Murphy PF Michael Beasley
Rasho Nesterovic C Udonis Haslem

After a tough loss to Orlando last night, the Pacers have to fire up for a challenging road game against Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat. Wade is a nightmare matchup and should keep Marquis Daniels, Jarrett Jack and Brandon Rush busy all night. The key is not to let any of his teammates loose.

As always, if the Pacers take care of the ball they should have a good shot at the road win.

Here are the Pacers.com matchups.

Pregame Reading

  • Mike Wells tempers the expectations for a Mike Dunleavy return in the short-term. Chris Denari talked up his workouts on Tuesday  night, but they were still individual workouts, not with team.
  • I asked him recently if he's taken any steps toward his return and his response was, "I'd call it more like a half step." That's not a good sign. Dunleavy's workouts has been relatively the same the past few weeks. He does strength and conditioning work on the side while watching his teammates practice. He takes the court afterwards and goes through shooting drills.
  • Dwyane Wade and Udonis Haslem will play tonight despitesitting out the team's shootaround. Wade is battling some flu-like symptoms and Haslem is taking care sprained big left toe.
  • Postgame report from last night's loss plus Mike Wells recap of the game.
  • Third Quarter Collapse recap from the Magic side of things.

Well…every game I’ve watched every minute of we have won. Whether it’s been on TV or at Conseco (sadly I’m a college student in Fort Wayne so it’s hard to get to Indy sometimes), preseason or regular season, we have won. And I said “NO” to all my other plans tonight to stay home and watch this one. So…..We’re winning this game

haha

Rush vs. Chalmers

I’m gonna be very interested in seeing who gets the better of this matchup. Chalmers was always the leader for the Jayhawks while Rush hung out in the background. We’ll see if Rush can perform better than Mario in this game. My money is on Chalmers coming out ahead.

Nice little subplot

Rush was as assertive as I’ve seen him last night. He didn’t play a ton of minutes but when he was out there he seemed real comfortable.

Still, Chalmers will likely double his minutes tonight.

Competitive start

Heat definitely look a step quicker so far.

Pacers up 22-18

Nice pace to this one. Pacers getting lots of good looks and easy buckets.
