IC Cold Links: Recapping The Pacers Flying Past The Hawks
Here are some items of interest after the Pacers win on Tuesday night:
- Bruno's Live Blog wonders with Mike Woodsen never tried going small with the Hawks considering the Pacers struggles in the past two games against smaller, athletic lineups. As always, everything you need is in the Postgame Report and Postgame Videos.
- Mike Wells looks past the box score to credit Danny Granger for leading the team, and not just in scoring, to the win. Jim O'Brien was pleased with what he saw from Danny.
"I think in the last two years that I have been here, his best leadership came tonight," O'Brien said. "He really did a great job of verbally communicating to the team what we needed to do to win this game. . . . I thought his leadership was off the chart. At timeouts, coming off the court, he really grasped what we're really trying to accomplish."
- Block shots stick out in the latest Pacers Notebook. With nine blocks against the Hawks, the Pacers have swatted 44 FGAs in the past five games. Also, Foster was the second option on his magic 3-ball, Rick Pitino and Walter McCarty were on hand to see JOB, and Hibbert sits.
- Sekou Smith sees the Hawks streaking the wrong way after a 6-0 start.
- The Pacers had some good karma working with them when they tipped off last night. As part of their Week of Giving, the team hosted a Thanksgiving dinner for area shelters yesterday since they will be out of town next week.
- The Blogger MVP/ROY Rankings are back. I missed the deadline but can't quibble with the final results.
- Also, the Blogger Power Rankings have the Pacers checking in at 20.

There Are No Dumb Questions
The Pacers reached an agreement with Eddie to buy him out at a discount. I
believe his desire was to retire, return to Dallas, and eventually serve the
Mavericks in some sort of coaching capacity.
This agreement allowed the Pacers to remain under the luxury tax threshold.
