The Indiana Pacers get up off the canvas after a tough loss last night to take on the Chicago Bulls at the United Center. Last night began a critical stretch of games against teams the Pacers will compete with for a playoff spot. Philly, Chicago, Atlanta, Orlando and Miami are all games that could go either way if the Pacers give a strong effort, make plays and take care of the details.
Last night, the Pacers let the little things go unchecked (rebounds and turnovers) for three quarters and gave up the win. So the Pacers can't even think about playoff implications, they just have to focus on the task at hand tonight. Jim O'Brien seemed confident that his tough-minded team wouldn't make a habit of late game collapses so it should be interesting to see how the Pacers respond tonight against a Bulls team with an extra day's rest.
Here's a look at the game matchups.

Not a good start
Couple of turnovers and easy buckets for the Bulls. Danny finishes a 3-pt play, Bulls up 10-7
Hmm
I think the Pacers stole Philly’s game plan, they’re making things awfully easy for the Bulls. 25-14
Jack brawlin' his way to a few points
Bad Quisy on display so far. Short on shots attempts, pretty casual.
Bulls up 27-19 end 1Q
Seems like the deficit should be larger. Need to tighten up about every phase of the game. We’re heading into the fourth quarter in a row where no one player has caught fire to carry the team for a bit. Really need someone to step up and make some plays.
Starting to hang
Attacking the bucket, getting to the line. 33-27 Granger and TJ convert trips to the line.
Ooo
TJ with a nice finish at the hoop. Little dude has some hops.
Chi up 35-31 after Rasho up and under move.
Ford with a sweet leave for Foster
but Jeff couldn’t handle it. Deng goes the other way and draws a foul at the hoop.
Bulls up 44-41
Troy just held on to the ball for at least 5 seconds
That’s junk in the half court. Pacers must have the ball and bodies moving.
Granger picks up 3rd
Bumpin’ Deng on the drive. Bulls up 48-43. Danger zone here. Need to get to the half without falling further behind.
Bull up 55-47 at half
Ack, gave back a bit too much before the end of the half. Considering the 10 turnovers and poor perimeter shooting, I guess the Pacers are lucky to be down 8. Regardless, this will be a tough game to steal unless someone (cough, DANNY, cough) steps up.
Deng and Gordon leading way for Bulls
Why did the Bulls give these guys a bad time in negatiations, again?
Murhp for 3
Pacers up 62-21, furious action gonig back and forth. Not always pretty, but I like the pace.
Looks like he was popped in the side of the head
knocked a little groggy. Just when everything was going well.
HOLY....
Derrick Rose just had an incredible take to the hole. Danny met him at the summit for a foul. Wow, he exploded to the bucket. Makes ’em both. Bulls up 91-84.
Game over
2 minutes left, Bulls up 100-87. Pacers can’t convert anything. Last several possessions have been putrid. No heroes on hand in Chicago tonight.
