UPDATE: Keep an eye on Bruno's Live Blog during the game.
The Indiana Pacers visit the New Jersey Nets tonight looking for their first road win just four nights after beating the Nets back in Indy.
For the Nets, starting PG, Devin Harris is expected to remained sidelined with a bum ankle.
Rasho Nesterovic will return to the lineup for the Pacers tonight which should be a boost for the front court considering Troy Murphy stayed in Indy to recover from a stomach virus. The Game Matchups at Pacers.com has Rasho starting at center tonight with Jeff Foster at forward for Murph. Mike Dunleavy remains suited and booted with his lingering knee drama.
Considering the unknown player availability and playing a team for a second time in five days, this game sets up as a loss waiting to happen. It also sets up as a great opportunity for the Pacers to flash some mental toughness and roster depth to gut out a road W. Facing this re-tooled Nets team at this points of the season makes this a winnable game, so the Pacers have to push aside the excuses and just win it.
Nets Daily has all the news from New Jersey.

Philly
Looks like Philly is shaking out of their slump just in time to visit the Fieldhouse on Friday. Sixers are up 26-13 after 1Q up in Toronto.

What has impressed?
FSN pre-game poll, what are you most impressed with for the Pacers so far?
A. Danny Granger’s play
B. Point Guard play
C. Overall hustle of team
I’d have to go with A. I expected Danny to play well but he’s cranked it up more than I figured he would. Hopefully I didn’t just jinx his game tonight!

Danny Granger is NOT starting
Right thigh cramp.
Brandon Rush gets his first career start with TJ, Foster, Quisy, and Rasho.
Whoa!

Tip time!
Nets starters as expected.
Stacy mentioned Danny dropped during individual work before the game. It is “just” a cramp, not ruled out of the game. Had been cramping up earlier in the day.

Go get ’em, Stevie!

Nice finish, TJ
TJ on the break, Bobby Simmons stops to try to draw a charge. TJ gets Simmons moving left with one step and then jukes right, not even touching Simmons for the open layup.

Fresh lineup
Diener, Hibbert, McRoberts, Jack, and Graham are on the floor.
Wow, JOB has to dig deep tonight. Suddenly, a W would be remarkable.

Umm
Vince Carter just had the slowest drive to the hoop for a dunk I think I’ve ever seen. None of the Pacers felt like coming over and challenging the poster opportunity.

Pacers 28-25 end 1Q
Jarvis Hayes hits a killer 3 at the buzzers after a solid defensive possession up to that point.

Pacers 13-20 FGs
Not much of a lead for those numbers.

32-31 Pacers
8:19 left in half. Little bit of slop going back and forth.

Ugh
We are having major injury problems. Stephen Graham and McRoberts have looked decent though.

Strengthing Up the team for the playoff run
It will all work out when we make the playoffs and have players with experience on the bench.

Certainly can't complain
Everyone who has stepped on the court seems ready to play and contribute. Great effort so far.

McRoberts has surprised me
I’ve never thought too highly of him as a player. I love that there is a local Carmel kid in the pros, but I was never impressed by him at Duke. He plays well and hopefully will be part of this organization for a while.
I like this team a lot. If they could get or develop a good post offensive presence, then this team can contend again.

Ooo, TJ with a nice change of direction for the layup
As Clark called it, “A little pause him and park him move.”

Granger update
Danny won’t play tonight. On cue, BRush hits another 3.

Jacked 'em up!
Jack gives me that Bob Sanders drive to the hoop, gets the bucket and the harm.

Alley-McBob
One of the uglier break, alley-oop attempts ever…but 2 FTs for Josh make it all good.

D me up
Pacers forcing Nets to score on jumpers or nothing.

Deflections should be an official stat
It is unbelievably underrated and it is sometimes more telling than steals. I like how the Pacers keep it as a stat.

The TJ Ford trade was so brilliant. Not only because Ford has been one of my favorite players since he was in college, but also because they took a risk on someone who is “injury-prone” and traded away a former MVP contender, but now there is no way anyone can say that the Pacers didn’t take a giant leap forward.
This organization is making all of the right moves to be a contender.

Nets had lead down to 76-71, but now with 4:10 left, Pacers are up 83-75.
Trying to hang on an kill the last gasp. Nets zone continues to cause Pacers problems.

Without their two leading scorers from last year
The Pacers beat a team by double-digits at their home court. That is a great performance.
Ford was 2 rebounds and an assist away from a triple-double. He’s been so close all season.
