Opening night at the Fildhouse, the defending champion Bostons Celtics in town, a new-look Pacer roster ready to officially introduce themselves to the home town fans. What's not to like?

Well, I guess I could do without that part about the Celtics. This is the first of three games against the C's before Christmas. Oh, well, the Pacers might as well get them out of the way while they learn how to compete with one another at a high level. Before you go any further, here's Bruno's Scouting Report. Yes, Mike Dunleavy still out.

With the Indianapolis Colts and New England Patriots set to play Sunday night, I imagine there will be plenty of NFL player sightings near the court. There will be even more Boston sports fan sightings. Over/under on a Boston sports fan being escorted out of the game? I'd say before Reb give the "two minutes, two-waaaa!" call in the second quarter.

For a Celtics perspective, check out CelticsBlog.

I will be at the game blogging on Pacers.com and commenting on this thread. Hope everyone who bought tickets through the site enjoys the game. I really appreciate the response and so do the Pacers. Look for more deals to come.

As always, feel free to drop your thoughts on the game in the comments.

Up and running at the Fieldhouse

Crazy day. Took in a wild Purdue-Michigan football game, listened to a little Blues Traveller and now I’m ready for THE main event at the Fieldhouse. Both teams have players working out on the court as fans have begun to stream in. The players are doing a great all giving the fans a ton of autographs as they head from their workout back to the locker room. Feel the love.

Hibbert and Rush enter, 4:01 left in 1Q

Hibbert draws a quick foul while hitting the O glass. T.J. Ford leaves the court but had a few nice plays drawing an enthusiastic reaction from the crowd. They want to love him.

Brady Bunch trivia

Josh McRoberts delivers the full cast. You can’t D-League a guy with those skills.

You should be happy with Rush's performance

Bayless isn’t playing at all until know for Portland.

Pacers are outplaying the C's so far

But they’re only up 33-27. Not complaining but I’m sure not comfortable. Waiting for the inevitable.

On a night when the 3s weren’t falling, we beat the Celtics. Wow. Awesome game.

Insanity is just a state of mind.

What?

Granger lost 2 teeth? Diving for a loose ball? No wonder we paid him all that money.

Insanity is just a state of mind.

The Tooth Beats The Truth

Helluva win. We outhustled and outclassed the Champs on both ends tonight.

And, oh yeah, Danny is utterly awesome. The way he flashed that smile to J’OB as he ran to the locker room was amazing.
