IC Cold Links: Waiting on NBA Opening Night

Here are some items of interest while waiting for the NBA season to tip off tonight:

  • First, don't forget to take advantage of the Indy Cornrows ticket discount for opening night against the Boston Celtics. The Fieldhouse will be jumping with the defending champs in town.
  • Pacers.com has a collection of previews up. My favorite includes an interview with Jim O'Brien and his thoughts on the NBA this year. JOB like what Philly has done to improve their team.
  • Bruno's latest Caught in the Web focuses on Marquis Daniels elevated role with Mike Dunleavy hurting. Also, Austin Croshere lands softly in Milwaukee.
  • My post-preseason, pre-regular season preview at Pacers.com.
  • Austin Burton at Dime was a huge Sonics fan. So now, after much deliberation and roster consideration, he's rollin' with the Pacers.
  • Mike Wells reports on Quisy stepping up to start and Dunleavy's injury.
  • Mike Wells forecasts the NBA season and has the Pacers finishing 10th in the East.
  • The Good Point has a sweet interview with T.J. Ford and his opportunity to begin a new era for the Pacers.
  • Minnesota released David Harrison a few days ago. Harrison was unable to play much due to a strained calf.
  • I'm talking Pacers and Blazers over at Rip City Project.
  • True Hoop has a great passage from a New York magazine piece on Donnie Walsh with the story on what Walsh was doing while Reggie Miller dropped eight points in 8.9 seconds to beat the Knicks in the 1995 playoffs. Henry even includes the Reg video to put a smile on your face.
  • At Yahoo! Sports, Accuscore simulated the season 10,000 times and forecast 40 wins for the Pacers.
  • The Pacers check in at 19 in the initial Blogger Power Rankings.

Listenin to the radio...

this morning in NY, and MIke and MIke on ESPN interviewed Spike Lee..They of course asked about Reggie Miller and Spike went on to say how they are the best of friends and Reggie flew out to LA for his last movie premier. Still weird to hear that they don’t hate each other.
