Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

Line of the Night 1/28/08

Chris Paul was at it again last night, leading the suddenly fun lovin' New Orleans Hornets a 117-93 drubbing of the Denver Nuggets. You know, I've kept a wary eye on the Hornets, simply because the Pacers pounded them in the preseason and then in their on regular season meeting early in the year. But after watching them last night, something has changed. The high self-esteem of the team as a whole is evident. Chris Paul's emergence has obviously raised the play of his whole team and their expectations along with it. A genuine pleasure to watch.

Who do you think deserved the nod from LoNny last night?

Carlos Boozer was pretty terrific too
23 pts 7 boards 7 dimes 2 stl's 2 blocks. That's AK47 licious right there.

Speaking of AK: 23 pts 5 boards 2 dimes & 4 stl's aint too bad either.

G-Dub had 23 pts 8 dimes 6 boards 3 stls & a block.

Chris Paul wins hands down, but seems to me G-Dub is in a near dead lock time with Boozer for 2nd.

Oh, and I think this is an important factor, but when you consider Paul had 3 TO's that's incredible. To have a 4.25 to 1 Ast to TO ratio in a game with handling the ball that way in an untempo game. Paul, healthy, is pleasing to watch. A legendary performance in all ways tonight for CP3.

When the tough get going the going gets Cornrows.
