SBNation NBA Draft: Pick No. 21

2007 NBA Mock Draft
Overall Pick: 21

Philadelphia 76ers
Chosen by: Passion and Pride
JOSH MCROBERTS
PF, Duke, So.

Jon from Passion and Pride selects Josh McRoberts for the Sixers. Jon was not able to comment on his Jeff Green pick at #12, so here are his thoughts on Green and McRoberts.
Wow, I can't believe Green was still there! Incredible. He is the guy that the Sixers want, and Thornton or Julian Wright is supposed to be the sweet consolation prize. No matter! Here's my writeup on Green:

Sixers' GM Billy King has made it no secret that he finds Jeff Green an impressive prospect. He said so in a private workout conducted recently in the D.C. area. Green is a versatile forward who can play both the 3 and 4 spots and guard both positions. He's got a great inside-outside game and the ability to make plays in the clutch. His ballhandling and rebounding skills need work, but his defensive presence is solid and he should make an immediate contribution for the Sixers.

NOW, seeing as how we're at #21...

The Sixers stand pat and take JOSH MCROBERTS from Duke with the 21st pick. McRoberts fits perfectly with the Sixers in tandem with Shavlik Randolph and coming from Billy King's alma mater. Good feelings aside, McRoberts has the game to mesh with Iguodala and the rebuilding Sixers. His versatility on the frontline makes him a difficult matchup. He can handle and dish the rock with the best big men in the game. In addition, his post presence is raw but very opportunitistic and he has a great feel for the game. He's got range on the jumper, but must improve his consistency from outside to be a serious threat from the perimeter.

Next up: New Jersey Nets (Bobcats pick via the Wizards)
