Open Game Thread #2: Pacers vs. Heat

Check out Bruno's preview of tonight's game. Penny Hardaway is listed as a Heat starter but he didn't get much burn last night, not playing until the second quarter. I actually forgot he was with the Heat.

I like the Pacers' chances tonight if they can get their score over 100. Let me know what you think about the game before, during, or after by leaving a comment on this post.

Penny?!
I guess Dorell Wright fell out of favor with Riles. That didn't take long.

So far...
It looks to me like we are playing into Miami's pace too much.

If we can get a little higher percent of shots to fall..a 3 or two...and D UP! we should be able to pull away from these guys.

Too many missed shots
Seems like the P's are getting good looks, just need to knock 'em down. Defintely not a fast enough pace, though.

How many more dance clips?
I thought those two would never get out of the booth.  Hey, she's cute, but show the dang game.

Can Diener do this?
5 point lead when JT went out, and TD came in.

Lord...
...is it going to be like this all year?  I'll take that, but I don't know about my heart.

Woo 82-0?
The city of Indy is undefeated!

YES!!!!
Never give up on this team. I have to work on that skill. Had a familiar sinking feeling wash over me with about 4 minutes to go, figured they were done. WOW!!

Bottom line?
We went 14-21 from the stripe, 33-83 from the field (39%-ish) and got outrebounded...all steps in the wrong direction.  And with JO in, I was watching for the flow of the game to be affected, which I think it was somewhat, but not necessarily in a way outside coach O'B's philosophy...there were still shots earlier in the offense, very little dribbling around the perimeter...well, it's a long season.

Good win, Pacers!

I give the Heat some credit
Great transition defense and they walked the ball up the court to control the pace. I just can't believe the Pacers won this one.

Heat free throws
4 for 13.  Pyew. Is that how you spell that?

Close enough
Two games in a row, missed FTs gave the Pacers life.
